Spring’s in full swing and there are beautiful blossoms all over the New River Valley. I’ve snapped shots of a few while out and about over the past week. For your identification edification and floral pleasure:

A pink flowered dogwood tree. In the wild, dogwood trees all have white flowers, but I’ve got a soft spot for the pink ones.
There is something so wonderful about seeing your beautiful pictures–a personal touch that really does bring the experience right into the heart. As for your i.d. captions, thank you. It does so help me solidify any knowledge I have of the names of these Virginia wildflowers. I think the viburnum is more locally called Black Haw. It is so beautiful with that fringy effect of the stamens!
